The training programme Dutch for non-natives is available at all levels. This level is determined on the basis of an intake interview. If it concerns group training, the students are at approximately the same level. During the training we will discuss the various linguistic and cultural aspects that the participants will face from day to day. For parents and carers, the emphasis will be on definitions and situations relating to children, such as a visit to the health centre or a ten-minute interview with a teacher at the primary school. We will also focus on visits to the family doctor and dentist. For those looking for work, the emphasis is on finding vacancies, writing letters of application and a CV and holding a job interview. During the training for people in employment, we will mainly focus on the work-related vocabulary. Subjects such as assessment interviews or filling in a logbook will also be on the agenda (see Dutch at work).
